Thread: Cannot connect to Uplay from my Xbox 360 | Forums

  1. #1
    Hi.

    Is there a problem with Uplay and the 360 at the moment? I'm trying to connect from AC2, but it gets to 4 out of five connecting dots then takes ages before saying unable to receive info from the server and dropping back to the game.

    Can anyone help/advise? Thanks in advance

    Don't worry. It's doing this to me too. Says there is something wrong with my server, even though I'm connected to Live with no problems. Stated that on here and they said to contact tech support at Ubisoft. Did that today and the guy on the phone acted like it was news to him. Said he hasn't recieved any emails or news about their servers being screwed up. I told him that it's BS b/c nothing is wrong on my pend that it's Ubi's end. I told him that there were MANY problems that ppl are stating on the forums. So...I don't know, guess all the extras on uplay for AC:R are just lost in limbo. Thanks Ubi....last time I'm buying one of your games.

    Thanks for the reply Velcro. At least I know it's not just me. I'll keep trying periodically. I would imagine it will work again at some point. I'll have to try it from AC Brotherhood and see if it still has an issue. That worked last time I tried it, but I'm replaying them all again and am currently in the middle on AC2. I mainly just want access to the Auditore Family Crypt LOL

    There isn't an announced Uplay problem.

    Have you two tried running the Xbox 360 Xbox Live diagnosis tool in the Xbox 360 dashboard? Ensure your NATs are set to open.

    @Ubi-Mush

    The error message has been up for I would say atleast 2 weeks prior to when th OP posted this issue. I had signed up when I was playing AC Brotherhood, and then noticed I could collect fro AC2 as well on the challenges. I loaded up the game and it states at the main start screen an issue of using Uplay, and that (you guys) are working on the issue. When we attempt to log on it goes to 4 bubbles but never fully connects. I can send pictures if you need as well.

    Could you contact support about this? The link is in my signature.

    See, that's the problem. Noone wants to claim responsibility here. You say contact tech support, yet when I call them (after being on hold for about 15 mins) they have no clue what I'm talking about, even though I am reading the server error message on my screen to them. We SHOULDN'T HAVE TO CONTACT ANYONE! We PAID UBISOFT $65 for this game yet we can't access part of it for extra content. It's not on our end, it's on UBISOFT'S END! I have a solution: DO AWAY WITH THIS CRAPPY UPLAY AND JUST PUT THE DAMN CONTENT INTO THE GAME TO START WITH!! I mean come on. Don't mean to sound like an a-hole but when we, the paying consumer, have genuine problems and we post them on here you guys pull out your little procedure books and flip to where it says :customer complaints, then it tells you to type a response to said customers: "Please contact tech support" then ignore them. Am I right?

    Oh, and by the way, it isn't a NAT problem because I JUST GOT DONE PLAYING MULTIPLAYER FOR ABOUT 3 HRS STRAIGHT. Try not to insult my intelligence by implying to me your average procedure book responses. My internet is fine on my pc, my Live connection is fine:hence why I can play AC:R online as well as MW3 and Netflix. For the last time: IT'S ON YOUR GUYS END.

    Just forget about the extra content AnOffDutyNinja, it's a lost cause. They have specific responses to give to specific problems. Unfortunately, our problem is constantly met with, "Please contact tech support." Read my previous post. I did just that and the guy acted like I was drunk or something. "Sir, I don't have anything regarding a problem with our Uplay system. I haven't recieved an email or message stating anything is down. It must be your connection." Really, guy? Because I'm in a multiplayer lobby right now waiting on another match... wow. Oh well. Ubisoft just lost a customer. And you ask if it's a big deal? Yeah it is. There is locked content on the disc that we can't access even though we paid $65 for it. I haven't had any problems with Uplay until I bought AC:R. That's the first thing I did when I got home and opened the game is try to do it, and I've been trying every day, multiple times each day, since the 20th of Nov.

    The content should be included I agree. Incidentally, if I try to log in to Uplay from AC Brotherhood it goes straight in without any issue. Sounds like a Uplay issue to me, not my console. For some reason it won't launch from AC2????

    Ahhhhh well. Should I bother contacting the script monkeys at Ubi support? I think I'll just be banging my head against a wall of "sorry, but there's no issues".....
