OOPS! Accidentally deleted folder. | Forums

OK, I didn't know that SHIII kept a necessary folder under "My Documents". I thought I must've goofed up while installing the game, so I deleted the SH3 folder. (Maybe there were 2 folders I deleted?) Well, I already emptied my trash, so there's no putting them back that way. The folder has since been replaced anyway, but the problem is this; my results from the Naval Academy. All my scores were Excellent except for torpedoes which was Average. Anyway, I think it hurt my renown. I was wondering if anyone knew the text lines I could enter into log file to reset these back to what they were? I'd like to restart my career with the renown I was granted because of my exam results... without having to retake all my exams again.

Easy-enough I think…

Look in your SH III Installation directory, in: <span class="ev_code_white">C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Cfg</span>

Locate & open the file â€" <span class="ev_code_white">Basic.cfg</span>

Scroll down to the 4th Section â€" [PLAYER_RENOWN] â€" First line reads: AcademyBonus= â€" set the value here…

I believe the highest possible is 1500.
Mine reads 1000.
I think I did ‘average’ on one part of it as well â€" but was so long ago now, I can’t even recall anymore.

Lol if u mean the highest u can edit the academy bonus then your wrong mine read that if i complete atleast 1 exam i get and extra 1,000,000

I tried that but it didn't work for me. It took time, but I went back and did the academy, scoring high enough that my new captains all start with 1500.

The file that needs to be modified is the NavalAcademy.log located here:
C:\My Documents\SH3\data\cfg
