Thread: Remember SvM? | Forums

The good'ol days of snapping necks, placing proxy mines in infinitally diffferent places for the unexpecting spies. Hacking the system, guarding the system, frag grenades, all the way to smoke grenades!

UBISOFT, I know you guys created that type of multiplayer because you loved it also!

I've been with you guys for a long time before I even created this account in 2002.

Alot of people would love it if you gave your last effort to make us complaining (truthful) fans another chance with the old SvM.

    Thank you

    Kevin
Looking forward to a Red Storm created GR!

At least someone isnt afraid to admit their complaining, lol.

I'm sure Ubi would probably do something with it in the future. Or not, we just have to wait and see.

Really people SvM was the best online mode for any game ever. That may seem like a very big statement, but when you think about it, it was the game that always kept bringing you back. Even when there were shiny new Next Gen games to bring you away from it. That's how great it was. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I agree on that, especially the first part. Well alot of shooters are addictive for reasons as: coming back often rewards (like BF and W:ET) but SVM was because you learned new stuff. Yeah some of them weren't that friendly (like knowing places of "silenced" mines) but it was very revolutionary because of the interaction between eachother. Not just "aim for his body and kill/shoot" but multiple ways to do huminilate moves. In almost every other game you only had the "close combat kill" or just the "headshot" kills which the only huminlation.
And it looked abit like sp, get to know how your enemies work and found a way to pass them to reach your objective.
And ubisoft was also at DA like: Yeah we got new multiplayer, gonna be very new, you guys gonna love it, everyone can jump in and play it. And the community: well ok we'll see, but got very dissapointed. And that's why alot alot of people here don't like changes. We've grown up with something and got good in it, we don't want the rules to be changed because we liked it the way it was.
And people if you have some spare time, try co-op it seems pretty stable to me and can cause alot alot of fun! Haven't laughed so much the last few months with games, then while those few hours of co-op (CT ofc ).

Fisher (irritated): Next time, you're going on the mission and i'm making up the crazy plan

Yeah, too bad we probably won't ever see a next-gen instalment. It's a kind of stupid argument to say that this game already exists, so they shouldn't make another. This is the whole concept of a franchise or series. They want new instalments! What is wrong with that?
It's a joke! When you look at me like that, it's a joke.

Have we all forgotten that MONTREAL is making this game and NOT Shanghai?!?!?!

That alone should give us faith it wil be light years better than Double Agent.

I enjoy SvM as much as the next person, but I'll assume the glass half full until proven otherwise.

I have played Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for 3 and a half years now and I haven't gotten tired of it. I sure hope that they at the very least don't make SC:C like Halo 2 gameplay. I want the stealth back as well.
