I signed up just to vent out about splinter cell conviction because my wife doesn't care about my complaints.

I haven't finished it yet but from the get go it did not feel like splinter cell and my heart was being ripped out every minute of play.

Everything that made this game uniquely splinter cell has been changed. where do I start??

first of all how bout its all action and no stealth.. it feels like im playing gears of war. the mark is bs makes it way too easy. the desaturation kills my life its confusing, not enough variable, they either see you or they dont. and it looks crap. there is not enough shadows and not enough alternative ways.. man with the other i one i used to finish a level and do it again just cuz i wanted to execute it with a different method. no moving dead bodies?? no distractions, bottles, whistle?? what the hell is up with that?
also on hard all indicators should disappear.. dont tell me where to go and what to jump and climb! thats part of the fun finding another way to infiltrate!

you probably heard all these complaints... but one thing that makes my blood boil in any game but ESPECIALLY this one is the no save option. now in other games you wont appreciate this as much because they are not as strategic. Now i get very frustrated when after waiting 3 mins for the soldiers to chit chat and start their patrol patterns while hiding and plotting the most ingenious strategy to take on the situation at hand... my plan works like a charm.. then i get to the next part and get killed and spawn back to before i fulfilled my plan.. then its like F(*&%$#! this im not doing all that again.. chuck a grenade, pull out the shotgun and be done with it.

if this game was labeled something else it wouldnt be bad.. actually it would be quite good but you cant play it like you play splinter cell. it does not deserve the title splinter cell.

ok i feel relieved, now i know why people keep a diary

couple of things i did like is "the punisher" style interrogations and "gears of war" style jumping to next cover.
