Unusual Assassination *SPOILERS* | Forums

When I was facing Al Mualim, at the part where he warps for he first time, I threw a knife at him, then he ran up to me (I had the hidden blade equipped for some reason), and I just pressed the attack button, and Altair automatically assassinated Al Mualim in a fashion that I have never seen before. While Altair and Al Mualim were both standing up, and Altair just plunged his hidden blade into Al Mualim's face, just like in Assassin's Creed 2. Has anyone ever seen or performed an assassination like this?
