Thread: A new Flotilla question (strange) | Forums

    Yesterday I reinstalled SH3 from scratch (had to format the disk).
    After the setup process, I chose 1939 and the 1st. Flotilla to begin a new career. When I cklicked start, the game began, and the first thing I saw after pulsing F5 to see the map, was a notification saying: "Your current FLotilla was disbanded." "You have been transfered to Kiel".
    Why is this? will this affect my career? Does this mean I will have my career all messed up with Flotillas and bases like before?

    No Minoos, I am not. I tried that once and altered tho tonnage of merchant ships. I don´t like it. Do you think answer might be there?

    Flotilla errors can occur after using mods/mixing careers and also through SH3 commander...
    Before installing SH3, did you clear the 'My documents\SH3' folder?

    yes Minoos, I did that. I checked "My Doccuments" folder as usual to make sure nothing was left of the previous installation
    Any other possible causes?
    Ah, by the way just wondering if you could help me with this: I am confused about SH gen, Sh commander and all those programms that add certain features and goodies to the game. Are they good? can they be used without risk of messing up the game? Whis is best for what?

    Question about SH3Cmdr or SH3Gen might be of interest once you have SH3 running properly.
    May I ask if you did apply the 1.4b patch after the latest install?

    Hello again Minoos:
    Regardingyour last question, yes, i did use 1.4b as usual. Stilli don´t understand why I have this problem now. Never happened to me before and i always install sh3+1.4b patch+GW and some other mods, like torp skins, but this is the first time it happens... plus, do you think it has anything to do with transfering flotiila before having the next patrol grid assigned?
