Thread: SGB Screwed Over? | Forums

We won at Thessaly last turn why are we fighting there again? If EFEC wins there it is only Ubi to blame. Why didn't we get Maxwell? We won in both the territories they were attacking from there in Conquest and we never got the territory. Ubi needs to fix these problems or explain what the hell is going on.

    A wild guess:

The Thessaly mishap I believe is down to an oddity with the colliding front line.

If the ToW resolves a stalemate collision of frontlines by having each territory get swapped due to a successful counterattack but then back again due to a mutual isolation then the following could occur:

A counterattack would however negate Levski's attack, thus causing Thessaly to remain standing (after which Levski gets reverted back to normal)

That's my wild guess at that.

    ----

As for Maxwell (T11), the PF rule saved the JSF. They won at JFK which was their frontline, thus saving them from counterattack. Nothing unusual there.

Well as soon as theres a raid on maxwell the JSF is done, many of them rely on airstrikes to clear everything out

Agreed. They rely HEAVILY on airstrikes.

I am a JSF commander. I do agree. Thessaly should be yours You guys have dominated the Euros there. Just as we should be in Arrabida today. We won Okefenokee for the last two turns. This is getting rediculous. I call Shenanigans.

It's ridiculous how much confusion there is about ToW fronts. There needs to be an in game summary/explanation that's more informative than "we lost an airbase." Thank you General Sergei. Don't you have some mixed metaphors to practice?

    From http://endwar.xenocidic.com -

Both the Spetsnaz and the JSF lost against each other on their primary colliding frontlines of JFK and Ft. Levski, respectively. This means that the Euros were able to keep both Thessaly and Okefenokee even though they lost in these engagements. However, their failed attacks on Chattanooga and Shenandoah Valley let Russia take Pamlico as a defensive spoil. Today sees the Euros trying to capitalize on their reprieve at Oke by attempting to steal the Maxwell air base from the Americans and fighting northward into Pamlico against the Russians. Meanwhile the JSF are attempting to take Oke out of JFK while fighting the colliding frontline of JFK/Levski against SPZ (a risky endeavour). The Russians will fight for Thessaly again.

I can see your line of thinking about the PF loss, but I was under the impression that only affected territories linked by attack, and not ones halfway across the map.

IE: It resolves differing attack results on one territory by taking the most played battle as the most significant.

Of course, the sticky does make it out to act as per your measure, but surly that just creates more oddities? <brainfail>

The explanation in the sticky is horribly ambiguous all things considered.

yea, i'm not so clear on that, but it's possible that the attack on Thessaly originated from Ft. Levski.
