Thread: So what did you guys think of the game guides? | Forums

    Hey guys. I work over at Prima Games, and we're getting ready to start writing the Conviction guide. We really want to know what you have thought of any of the Splinter Cell guides that we have done. Is there anything that we're missing out on, something that we're doing wrong, or do you have an idea that we could add. What do you want to see from us?

    Well, I've gotten all the guides, but that's really because I'm a collector. In my experience, the SC games aren't really the type to need them. So...yeah.

    But, and I'm sure this has been mentioned a million times, the guide for CT tells you that you have to trip the alarm at the bank - "an unavoidable laser grid"...FUNNY STUFF!

    Other than some nekkid pictures of Sam, I don't think there is anyway to improve the ones I have.

    wow, you're already getting ready to write it. The game may actually be out in December. Concerning the guides the best thing you could put in is some really detailed stuff about the multiplayer, from what I read you guys put stuff in about multiplayer about how it's supposed to be played, not how it is. try playing it freestyle for a while and see what new ideas that you came up with. Oh and thanks, Jackie, now I'm scarred for life.

    CostalGirl,
    Yeah, SmellyMarkers has been my tag ever since back in the day when I was playing deathmatch on the original DOOM. So would you like to see a little bit more "collector material?" Maybe a couple interviews with dev team members, more concept art, etc?

    Well we haven't recieved any copies of a build yet, but we just want to really nail this guide. I appreciate the feedback on our multiplayer section. So, maybe if we spent a little more time by giving you different strategies for different types of play so that you could experiment with them and figure out whats best for you or create a hybrid between the different models? Is that what you were going for?

    Seriously now, more dev interviews would be great. Maybe a detailed bio of the characters new to the game. A cast listing for the voice actors would also be nice to be included in that.

    And of course...nekkid Sam Fisher.
