Hi

I've just bought HoE and using it on my Windows 7 64bit box which has a quad core AMD Phenom processor, NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT (1Gb)and 4GB RAM, DirectX 11 - so easily exceeding the specs.

When I've played HoE the graphics run terribly, no matter whether I down scale the settings or not (which I shouldn't need to), they're very staccato and even though I think the game is brill it makes it almost unplayable.

The game loading takes ages and I have the most recent version of the game too. Yet nothing I try makes any difference to the stuttering graphics of the game - I'm pulling my hair out with it. I've been through the postings though nothing is strictly relevant to my situation that I've read.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing the problem or can point me in even an approximate direction to try and sort it out.

I run XP , so, I'm not familiar with Win 7. Does it have some kind of compatibility wizard to run older programs? I'm thinking your machine and software are too new for this game. You don't need to scale back the games settings, you need to scale back your PC's system.
