Thread: "Non Power-of-Two Render Target Support" is not detected, AGAIN! | Forums

    Right,
Got meself SC PT, installed it and got this in the diagnostic screen:
"Non Power-of-Two Render Target Support" is not detected.

Now, this question has been asked and I don't understand an answer given there, if it was an answer and not some attempt to be comical...
The answer was: Change ure POWER SCHEME and itll work

    What does this mean?!?!?!

    TIA,

well, to change your power scheme, go to Start > Control Panel > Power Options and in the first Drop-Down list, select Home/Office Desk, although I don't see how it could affect anything. but try it anyway.

You may also need a better (more true watts like Antec) power supply for your computer. These cards need more juice.

This has got nothing to do with power settings (WTF), all you need is to update your video drivers. Use the newest ones from Guru3d.com and the game will work fine.

It's got nothing to do with video drivers.

For me the game came bundled with a brand new PCI-X 6600GT card and i'm running the latest drivers 71.89 downloaded yesterday from nvidia and i get this message too.

It must be a bug in the software. What it will do to the gameplay is anyones guess.

    hello freehansje,

If you get the latest patch..The latest 1.31 patch adds support for this new texture cap and removes the error message.

Than the error is gone..works for me..the error than..

The patch to 1.31 worked for me.

To those who are checking their PCI-X video cards for a power connector after XHarry's suggestion, don't, because they dont have one.

I had the Non power of two render target support error too and anfter days of loading new drivers for everything still no joy. Then i downloaded the 1.31 patch and received the error msg that the patch was not for my version so then i dowloaded the 1.02 patch and the error is gone ! YIPPEE.
