why did ubisoft change the whole game i mean i really wounder why the hell a game was given the name far cry 2 if it never contained any plots points continations or anything ANYTHING apart from A map editor that was it. i mean all FarCry needed was mabye a few more items to the map editor a new storyline and mabye some more features in map editor and it would have been a great game. BUT INSTEAD the uninequness of creating some amoury on the map editor to create a place for the people to get good weapons GONE. How about the main storyline of JACK CAVIER and PREDITORS AND MUTIATIONS GONE. The predator mode that everyone loved so much and made a great horror game GONE. Being able to do puzzle maps with races at the end GONE because vehicles die in like 2 seconds and you can hardly fall of a barrel without breaking a leg. The fun you use to have with friends GONE because now the only thing to do is attack each other in a boring COD styled way. I SERIOUSLY BELIVE THAT IF UBISOFT WHERE ANY GOOD TYPE OF GAMING COMPANY THAT THEY SHOULD LOOK AT THIER GAMES AND TREAT THEM WITH RESPECT ASWELL AS THE FANS THAT KEEP THE GAMES GOING AND NOT JUST CHANGE THE WHOLE GAME JUST SO IT SLIGHTLY RESEMBLES COD TO GET SOME ONLINE COMUNITY BECUASE FARCRY HAD STARTED TO BECOME ABANDONED. I really am ashamed at how they could take a game and change such a legend of a game and turn into the very game that i managed to play for a week most likely less and it made me never want to play a game on it ever again. How terrible and wrong they had managed to change the game as so that it didnt resemble the first has made now think before i buy the next far cry because NO ONE cares that you can create a fire that last like 5 seconds a spreads 5 feet and NO ONE cares that you can shoot a tree and it will grow back. The only thing i care about is the hope that mabye someone from Ubisoft will look at this and mabye (with a hope of around 0.01% og this ever happening) change a possible future for a FAR CRY 3 to revert back to the style of FAR CRY INSTINCTS PREDATOR and not keep on with the current COD INSTICTS MARINE IN A ****TY VILLAGE FULL OF EXPERTS WITH GUNS AND CAN SEE YOU NO MATER WHERE YOU ARE.

Come on, they already made a major failure in making the player character have superhuman abilities. I liked the feel of Far Cry 1 because it felt like you were a NORMAL PERSON, thrown into chaos, not a monster shooting others for no reason.

Do you mean far cry 2 and it feels wrong for me to have one game with an awsome storyline and great fan base for them to just flip the whole table of idea's throw every great point apart from the map editor out the window and then change the entier game without telling its old fan base they've just created a sequal which is basically COD except freeroam.

If they had never given this game the name Far Cry 2 i would have been fine with it sure i would have never bought the damn game because i would have looked into it more instead of thinking that their wouldnt be weapon class and thier would be pick upable weapons that you could place on map editer. i would have been fine if they called it something else because then Far Cry 1 would probably still have a large fan base. It was when far cry 2 was reliesed that Far Cry 1's fan base dissapered to the sequal which compared to the first was just plain dreadful.

When I first heard that Far Cry 2 was coming out I could hardly wait. At the time it was my second favorite game, just behind Half Life 2. So I was thinking that a new version of FC2 would be awesome. It was, and it wasn't. It certainly should never have been called FC2 as it wasn't that game at all. Once I'd played it a couple of times I really did get into it, but the storyline was nothing like what I expected. It is a great game with very good graphics, but what I really wanted was a true Far Cry 2. In that sense it was very much a disappointment. I do wish EA would consider making a Far Cry 3 and bring that version back in line with the first. I think they could truly have a hit on their hands.

EA doesn't own the Far Cry title; Ubisoft does. EA has not released ANY Far Cry's.

I feel like the commmunity is split in half:

1 half doesn't want predator because they want realism or focus on single player.

1 half absolutely loves predator and weapon placements because it adds SO much replayability/fun/amazing maps where you are rewarded for exploring. (I am one of those)
