    realmyst Library Crash

I saw one other post on this issue but no real solution. Running XP Pro sp3. Game works fine until I actually "LOOK" at or in the direction of the Library. I have even successfully sneaked up on it by walking backwards but as soon as I turn around *BAM*. Black screen, crash. I have tried all sorts of updating drivers, compatability modes etc. Same thing every time.

    Any thoughts on this?

    Welcome to the Forums!

    So, have you:
-- Done all of the items under "In general", in my post above?
-- Installed the latest end-user runtime release of DirectX 9.0c?
-- Installed the latest drivers for your video chipset?
-- Installed the latest drivers for your audio chipset?

This isn't the usual "yeah, I've got the latest drivers and DirectX release", but within the last couple of days (!) you actually checked the appropriate websites.

If the above don't help, have you gone to Useful Links & Information - PLEASE GO HERE Before Posting!, one of the stickied topics at the top of this Forum, and opened Myst and realMyst: Clean Boot Install With Win XP? If so, have you:
-- Done ALL of the steps under Overall Windows and Hard Disk Tune-up?
-- Then (and only then) installed realMyst from a clean boot, as detailed under Installing Myst and realMyst?

If after doing all what Heimdall suggested and still have a problem, you could try updating your RealMyst game with the RealMyst patch v1.11...
