This is my 1st sub game. Going through the
in-game lessons and the manual I've managed to get the hang of the basics, but I'm somewhat overwhelmed by it all!
It'll be cool if any veterans here could make a step by step tutorial/guide to helps us noobs master the more in depth options and gameplay.

I haven't got my copy delivered yet so can't comment directly on SH4 tips but my advice, going on my memories of when I had just started playing SH3, is to take your time, save your game often, and be patient. It will come - you'll get there!

yeah Can`t wait for the TDC stadimeter to be fixed It now, in sh4, seems alot simpler to use TDC then it did in SH3. It would feel so much cooler to actually sink a ship almost like they did back then

Pity there isn't a Prima Guide book for the game.

I just answered a similar question over in the SH3 forum. I know SH4 is in the Pacific, different protagonists, but the underlying principles should still apply.

I'm sure in time there will be a Community Manual, like the SH3 one - Here
