there is no difference.
The people who brought farcry on dvd got the same quality game to those who brought it on cd.
The simple fact is DVD hold more and it cuts down on manufacturing costs.

Dvd version will not work in a cd only drive. Usually dvd drives will play cds and cd roms.

Yah i recomend u go for the DvD drive they r quite cheap and u got nothing to loose, but u better be damm sure its not a DvD-RW drive or ull have troubles with this and others games yet to come.
