I have just purchased Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. The problem is I do not have a DVD-ROM. Is there a way I can still install and play this game WITHOUT buying a DVD-ROM?

Yes. You could steal a DVD drive, though it's not advisable.

Or you could just go for the evil Direct 2 Drive (anything that has something to do with FP or gamespy is evil).

Well I was told that it was just put on a DVD-ROM so it wouldn't be on like 4 disks. My friend who is a complete ******* told me that he doesnt have a DVD-ROM and it worked fine for him. When I called him up to yell at him for being gay he remembers by looking at his Drive and notices it is indeed a DVD-ROM...

But if you want to play SC:CT, the boxed version, you're gonna have to go and get a DVD drive. They're cheap now, and it can be real useful.

Thats what I was thinking. Does it have to say on the supported formats PC DVD-ROM. Or just DVD-ROM?

You know what the Irony of this is?
That at both Ubi.Com and EBgames.com, the picture of the box shows PC CD-ROM

Oh I wonder how many people got angry over that?

I take the name smart *** as a complement.

    It states that I'm smart

You can get a Lite-on DVD-rom from newegg.com for like $20. I'm sure other online places have similar prices. Just avoid getting a retail one from the store. It will probably cost you considerably more.

    They're very simple to install.

As far as format, it will play all movie DVD's, and all DVD games that are for the PC. It won't work with Xbox, or PS2.
