I found the campaign fun, they could have done better, but it's alright for the money I paid for it. Multiplayer on my xbox 360 was entertaining too, still regularly play it, don't understand what the complaints are really, yes it wasn't handled very well, and no it wasn't as good as COD4, but it was still enjoyable and to be honest, you can't argue with the money it has made.
Hey, Is Call of Do Do BLack Ops launch date of 11-09 going to mess with the GRFS launch?
Looks like their trying the steal GRFS thunder.
Thunder it will be.
Treyarch’s Multiplayer Design Director, David Vonderhaar, frequents the CoD forums and has left some interesting nuggets of Black Ops multiplayer details amongst his posts. Some of the details Vonderhaar talks about strongly suggests that the firm will ditch a lot of the imbalances of MW2 multiplayer.
*
While they’ve tried having custom killstreaks for each class, that seemed to complicate the ‘purity and speed’ of Create a Class.
*
Consequently, it’s fair to assume that customizable killstreaks are all but confirmed.
*
At this stage in development, killstreaks stack and carry over if you die, but do not contribute to further killstreaks (hence eliminating the ‘camping for killstreaks’ problem of Modern Warfare 2).
*
Treyarch are not fans of Commando, the extended melee range perk in Modern Warfare 2, and it is unlikely to return.
*
They’ve tried a ‘manned’ version of the Sentry Gun killstreak, but weren’t fans.
*
We may well see a return to pistols as the only available sidearm, or perhaps a choice between pistols and launchers. Vahn and many of the team are not fans of shotguns and machine pistols as secondary weapons – it gives a player ‘too much firepower’.
*
The knife may well become a secondary weapon – although Vahn didn’t want to say too much.
*
Finally, don’t expect the nuke to return as a killstreak. Vahn says they are not fans of a game-ending killstreak
Well if Gamespot readers are any measure, GRFS is going to have a very tough time this fall. According to their reader's choice survey, GRFS is lagging embarrassingly far behind Gears 3, Halo Reach, and COD: Black Ops in terms of player interest. In fact, it's #19 out of the 25 games listed. Good luck guys! Keep ignoring your fans, relying on facebook, and posting nothing but empty hype - that strategy is sure to pay off any day now!

I agree that it won't be catching up to Gears, and Crises 2 anytime soon. I'm actually surprised that CoD only has 4% of the votes. GRFS has 2% so it's not embarrassingly falling behind CoD.
I think all the have to do in order to see how well there hype is going is by looking at these forums. In which case, it is not working very well.
Edit: Hasn't this always been the case with GR though? It's never been a game that everybody can enjoy, a game that stands apart from the other mainstream ones. Now it looks like it may be breaking this pattern with GRFS, but I still just can't see it being very similar to CoD, Halo, or Gears. Maybe in the most obvious ways, such of which view it is or the cover system, but as a whole I don't think it will be a "clone" of any of those franchises.
No.. GR and IT were GOTY
COD:BO is coming out this year, MW3 isnt going to come out until 2011 earliest. if they do happen to come out the same year though, i dont think MW3 will sell more than MW2 did unless there is a badass beta. that was the flaw of MW2 in my opinion. please no flame war lolOriginally posted by H3RO91:
I imagine MW3 will sell more copies than MW2 did. That would be pretty hard for GR:FS to beat.
