Hey guys,

i surfed a bit through the internet concerning the end of the beta. A few guys tracked down the problem and they're saying the problem which prevents us atm from playing is that the DRM or better said a registry entry was set to 17.07.2010.

EUGEN thought that Valve could easily change that entry via steam but the problem is that Steam actually can't access that DRM entry, or better said the DRM is creating a new entry right after steam deleted it.

So the UBI DRM System has completly screw up another game.

well, they are atleast trying to fix it. And it isnt always true what u read on the internett.. Do u have any sources to what u say?

I got it to work...

Delete all the ruse .ncf files found here:

D:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps

This will "uninstall" the game.

edit: logout and restart.

Click "Reinstall" and in less than 30secs it will work.

And where should this "Reinstall" button be?

Reinstall: AKA "Click Here" link on steam store page.

edit: Also, logout of steam and exit so it repopulates the installed games.

Doesn't work! I only get back to the Mainpage. Good thing I made a Backup Copy ...

did you restart and logout?
Having a backup doesnt matter its a really small file and takes less than a min to download... that should be the goal. Get a new copy from steam.

The problem is currently being addressed, and hopefully the game should start working for people soon.

well i just bought ruse thinking i could fix the problem of not being compatible with win7 but i was wrong. there is no compatibility tab when i go into properties. is there a way to get a refund?
