Two games. One with Sam Fisher and one with another Splinter Cell. Shanghai and do the old style and montreal could keep their direction.

It has come to my attention, that many people on this forum are making the same mistakes over and over.
Asking the same questions, making the same assumptions and posing with the same issues as when ConViction was in development.
We need to draw from our past experiences. Only then, can we evolve as a community to something greater and more beneficial. Both for ourselves and this franchise.
I don't see how PT can be regarded as mediocre. Unoriginal, perhaps, but not mediocre.Originally posted by darthsoth:
Well, Shanghai has done a mediocre job with their 2 offerings to the series. Pandora Tomorrow and the 360 version of Double Agent are pretty widly regarded as the poorest of the Splinter Cell games.
But Splinter Cell and Chaos Theory made Montreal a very sought after game maker so they get a little busy I think with PoP series, Splinter Cell, and Assassin's Creed as well as all the other smaller projects they get involved with. That makes them pass off the even number offereings to Shanghai, which is a little sad since Montreal seems to take the series a step or two forward and then Shanghai either keeps it idle or takes it a set back.
Witht eh time between Double Agent and Conviction, if they have followed suit, then Shanghai should be well into production of the next SC game in the series. IF Ubisoft has taskedthem with the next one again.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
actually i don't know about that, i know that SvsM was made by Shanghai on PT but on CT i really don't know </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Originally posted by sameer_monier:

I may be entirely crazy, but I thought the competitive multiplayer portion of Chaos Theory was done in Shanghai, and the remaining game was done in Montreal. It was a while ago, but that's what I can recall from a presentation on level design by Clint Hawking.
My fuzzy recollection wasn't entirely accurate. It was just the level design I was thinking of. The code itself was still done in Montreal.
http://interviews.teamxbox.com...Theory-Interview/p4/Question: Pandora Tomorrow received kudos for its innovative multiplayer modes, which were designed by Ubisoft Montreal, correct? We already know that Chaos Theory will expand upon PT’s multiplayer modes, but give us an overview of the changes and additions we’ll see.
Mathieu Ferland: Actually, Pandora Tomorrow’s multiplayer levels were designed by our Annecy studio – they did a phenomenal job, and are also creating the versus levels for Chaos Theory.
I know SAR is the first splinter cell, but what does the acronym actually stand for. It's been bugging me since I first saw it usedOriginally posted by Yabab_2:
I'm not sure you followed. But Chaos Theory is the second game made by Montreal and it's classified as being and Old Gen, just like SAR and PT. So it's not like that.
I hope only Montreal works on Splinter Cells from now on. That would be better.![]()
~FISHER- Lambert, now that I got 50 million bucks with me, it's time to talk about a raise.
~LAMBERT- Hmmm. 25 cents an hour and not a penny more.
~FISHER- Deal.
that would keep it refreshing, and really it would serve us all wellOriginally posted by Jamsedreng22:
