Well, its not Settlers as I remember it and it may be a mistake to call it that commercially as people will come to it with certain expectations which won't be met. On the other hand I like building up little cities with little people in them and launching the odd military strike. The game seems to stand up for itself in this respect. It doesn't seem new or innovative. I keep thinking of the game that was around a while ago called Vikings. The game is due to be released in the UK a day before my birthday. I would be quite happy happy to buy it on the strength of the demo. Hope there's a sensible skirmish mode. Now to read the rest of the posts in the forums to see what other people have said.

No skirmish mode. This means: no inherent AI behaviour as it is known from S3 and S4.

All AI behaviour is scripted. Without script, the opponents do strictly nothing. That's why the editor (to be released with an addon) will contain a certain amount of scrpting tools.

Hmm, the lack of a decent skirmish mode is a bit of a show stopper to me.

the absence of skirmish in german rts-s really sucks..... was it so hard to create working AI that would at least pretend opposing you in skirmishes. Skirmish mode is absolutely neccesary in modern RTSs for it makes the gaming experience really longer... i hope at least in addon you will add skirmish it...

here go my 2 cents

havent seen anything intersting jet.
no ships
no way to cross any waters (what happened to the bidge thing goship?)
a farm cant be place anywhere, they dont need espace to grow things, magic.
last try i made 4 banks ...went up the roof on money, whetre did it came from i dont know.
i tryed to follow the warning voice too, had to make one farm for each resi, in fact when i finaly deffited the last bad boys,i had 24 farms and 22 resisis fully upgraded, by the way they never were any resistece.
that seccond stonemine that only can be reached when the ice comes produce enogh stone to cover all my nedds, i only had to add to the site a fake farm and a resi, they never went hungry or tired, god only( and BB) knows how the farm worked on a barely square foot of ROCK

anyway still dont like it but still trying it
