I got my copy of Rainbow Six Vegas 2 with a video card that I purchased recently and have been having fun problems.

First off, I could never find any online games and I simply thought it must be my router.

Also, the ACES system is non-existent and all the guns are already unlocked.

Now, this is where the weirdness begins. I forgot my CD one day and decided to find a NO-CD patch and viola, all my problems were solved. The ACES system was back and I could find many online games.

I found my CD and switched back to the normal .exe and the previous problems came back.

I assumed that the auto patcher had failed and downloaded the 1.03 patch and tried to apply it, only to have the damned thing report that I have the German version or some crap like that.

And I can't play with the NO-CD patch because I fear Punk Buster will ban me and because when I play online, I suddenly get stuck, not because of lag or anything like that, but I simply can't use my mouse or keyboard. I can still fire though.

Any ideas?

I have seen that very same problem in other threads in this forum with the German version being shipped with a video card.

Not sure what you can do unless you can get the store you bought if from to swap it for an English version.

One other thought would be to update using the German 1.03 patch!

No luck at all. I guess I can't complain since I didn't spend any money on the game itself, but after looking over this forum, I'm noticing that Ubisoft really dropped the ball on this one.

Any other suggestions?

Sure you have the right to complain!
Often a product is purchased because of the incentives offered!!!

You can always join games without PB enabled, but you take the chance of cheats and modded files!!
