this comes up all the time have downloaded different files from different websites and still the same message comes up file not found, have used winzip and still it comes up as not found or file invalid. am on windows 7 hp os have also contacted ubisoft tech. guys but they are hopeless in getting to e-mail you back and helping you, at this rate I will never buy another game off them again, it is truely deplorable, have waited 5 days now and still no reply. have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still does not work ubisoft makes games for pc then they should make sure that you can play them on your computer or not make them at all. Makes me hopping mad.

Have you tried using the Direct X version that is on the disk? On the disk its in Support/directx/dxsetup.exe. Post your dxdiag information if you still are having an issue.

this are possible the cause and reason why you getting that error

1.Do you have a Video Card? that error wont shown up if your computer dont have graphic accelerator

can you post your full system rig so we can check it? otherwise if you faking your own rig we can't help you..


2.did you update your DirectX?

3.are you using Laptop? most Laptop even modern has graphic card however built-in or chipset which not good for gaming

and

4.did you brought the game legally? or you just download it somewhere else illegally most if does don't blame Ubisoft..

Try updating ur DirectX version with DxWebSetup(Internet Connection Required).
