What they need ingame is a way to record fights and replay them later, with a slow motion feature.

You can just use the demo recording system that is in all Source games (so long as the devs don't remove it).

You can use the command "recode <demoname>" to record a demo, and the command "stop" to stop recording.

The demo will be saved as a .dem file, which can be played by typing (I believe) "play <demoname>"

I don't think you need to put the .dem extension on the demo name.

Also, to replay a demo, you can bring up the demo ui, which will give you buttons to play, stop, etc, and you can bring up a windows-style file browser to find a demo file to load.

To bring this up, you can use the console command "demoui", or press shift+f2.

NOTE: these are all HL2 commands, which I am assuming are unchanged in Dark Messiah.

EDIT: You will have to be in game to watch these demos. They are not movie files. They simply record all that happens in the game world, and will "re-inact" everything that happened when played back.
