Thread: Failed to initialize Direct3D9 | Forums

    demo crushed as the 1st pic had show, and the system says Failed to initialize Direct3D9, i already installed newest DirectX and the lastest Video driver for my 5700FX
    can somebody plzzzzzzzzz tell me wats the problem and how to solve it....thx very much

    If you aren't sure if you have dx9.0c april 2006 try downloading this: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/Dir...edistributable.shtml
    Click on download and choose a location.
    Try it and tell if it works.

    Ty Unreal_az im downloading atm, btw 2 of my friends are facing the same problem and they all use 5700FX, im starting to worry about whether i have to upgrade my video card inord to play HOMMV......

    Um.. thing is that seems on a radeon 9800 the problem is the same so i don't think it's video card related in terms of hardware.

    This happens to me also and i only needed to reboot the system (it was an error of my graphic card)
