"We want you to feel like you're in the game."

How to make this true:
-You can't lean in real life.
-You can't prone in real life.
-You fix any car by tightening a bolt.
-You can't shoot civilians in real life.

What did I miss?

NO POINT IN LEANING IF THIS ISNT A GAME IN THE CITY OR SOMETHING. its in an open enviornement...what you gonna do?lean behind grass?

No point in prone..its pointless

this isnt battlefield you dont need to fix a car with a power tool

Okay, in the videos, after driving around in the grass, jungle, etc. you walk up to a village. You can lean around a building, you can prone under a table, especially if you don't want to play like Rambo. And just because YOU don't want to play this way, doesn't mean nobody else does. Games like STALKER and UT2004 have tons of extra keys for different things that not everyone will use.

Oh, and 360/PS3, I don't even care. They never have lean.

Just because you want to be able to use prone doesn't everybody else does I really don't care that there isn't any prone. You want to crawl under a table? How much can that accomplise? The only tables I've seen are inside buildings. You can just go around tehm. Also I don't see how much leaning can change the game. Also Socom Confrontation has leaning and prone in it, so if you have a PS3, get that.

But you need to draw the line between reality and fun.

If you make it too real then its not fun.

if you make it fun but add 0 reality then it becomes lol wtf and not that great
since it might be like 100000 health and have a massive gun that blows up the world, much lols but no realism

its balance that makes games enjoyable and attractive.

The ability to fix cars with bolts is more of gameplay than reality, so that you dont need to get a new vehicle each time you crash it or something, sure it would make it more real but it wouldnt be as fun since it would be annoying.

On the other side if the cars didnt have any damage at all sure it would be fun to go havock but not attractive since that isnt the aim of the game..

Lean and prone are not the type of things this game is for. If you want that kind of game get Metal Gear solid 4 and online...

The not shooting civilians, ehhh idk it might be goood , or it might be bad. I mean in GTA Its fun to just kill people in towns but this isnt that kind of game so yeah... it wont bother me as long as i know where to find enemies if im feeling blood thirsty.

Also as a note you forgot to add ability to extract bullets and heal their wounds on the go lol, its not as realistic, but it sure is more realistic and funner to do than picking up random health packs.

Hopefully you got my point.

OMFG. Just leave and never come back. How many times has this been discussed and solved.
1. For the lean, the devs wanted to make this fast-paced action where you need to keep on the move. This isn't Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six Vegas, you get behind cover to stop bullets, then pop out, shoot and run. You don't need to lean, you cover 25% of your body. Whoopee. It's pointless.
2. For the prone, you won't need it. Stealth you won't need it because you'll be assaulting thus moving. And proning under a table, wtf? Just shoot over it.
3. Obviously you can't fix a car by tightening a bolt, but I don't want to sit there for an hour watching my guy fixing a car. He doesn't carry a tool kit with him to pimp it out.
4. Why would you need to shoot civilians. That's pointless, there are plenty of enemies and animals to shoot, why do you need to kill civilians. It's Far Cry 2, not GTA IV.

So you didn't miss anything, maybe a brain.
"If it bleeds, we can kill it."

Some of you guys need to live and let live and finish reading what someone is saying before you rant and type what ever point you want to make.

He clearly said, and I quote... "Games like STALKER and UT2004 have tons of extra keys for different things that not everyone will use."

It is all about OPTIONS, some want it and some don't, OPTIONS, I like lean and prone, you don't... OPTIONS.

If the WHOLE MAP was full of tall grass, surely there would be no point for prone but this is not so, unless of course, you have not watched some of the clips out there. There will be Villages, hence, the need for lean. If we had the OPTION of using this, the game could be 100 hours instead of 50 hours... you never thought of this didn't you!

If you need lean and prone to be stealthy then I guess you aren't as stealthy as you think you are.

If you want realism, try leaning around a corner and firing a .30 cal+ gun and remaining leaned without falling from recoil.

And think about it, you go prone in the grass and you can't see.

You can still be tactical and stealthy without these features so I don't see a reason for them in the first place.

yes of course lets add prone it will double the the campaign from 50 to 100. i dont think so. it makes it harder if you dont have lean because you have to keep moving you can't just hind behind a object and shoot everyone. im sure you are here to be negative about the game want2snipe thats all i ever see you do.
