Thread: BSOD when installing | Forums

I get a BSOD on the last disk when installing Far Cry. Here are my stats. I even turned off my OC. It made no difference. Could it be my SATA optical drives causing the issue?

    ASUS A83N32-SLI
    AMD 4800+ x2
    EVGA 7950 gx2
    Corsair XMS 3200 2gb
    2 74GB Raptors in RAID0
2 Plextor 755s SATA optical drives

It seems a lot of people are suffering from this recently...
I think ubi (only a theory here) may have sent out a duff batch of copies of the game.
Email/call/nag the hell out of them and tell them to send you a copy of the DVD version of the game. (1 CD)<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Any disk copy software installed? Like Nero or Alcohol 120%. If so, disable and try to install.

No Nero. I have NTI installed, but there is nothing in my quickstart tray. I wonder if it that last disk could be bad.
