your question is not to specific. if your talking about death cameras, that is something that the server admin has to set up. you can have first person only, third person only, third person free and ghost cam. you can have team only cameras or be able to view thru anyone, even the other team or you can have fade to black when your killed, ie: no death cameras whatsoever. if your setting your own server up, there are options for that in your server setup screen, if you rent a server, you need to modify your .ini file, upload the changes and restart the server. if your talkin about single player, i dont know how to help u.

patches are fixes the the game developer has made to address issues after the game has been released, maybe fix some map lag issues or other more serious problems. if you play online you need these patches installed as most if not all game servers are running the newest patched version of the game and it is not backwards compatible
