Graphics glitching/Can't Play | Forums

I just bought BIB through steam and installed. The game seems to play fine but I'm getting weird lines and glitches with my video while playing.

I'm using Ati Radeon 4890 on latest drivers for Vista 64 and no matter how low or high (resolutions also) i put the seetings I still get these weird lines/glitches during play (which to me makes it unplayable). I tried re-installing and still the same thing. This is the first game i've had trouble with it. All my other games are playing fine exept this one... I'm still getting horrible lines and pixelated squares while playing and at checkpoint it seems to lockup and won't unlock unless i ctrl-alt-delete and then go back into the game. Very frustraiting and if anyone has any ideas I'm all ears.

I did update my drivers for my monitor also and tried different settings in game. Refresh is set at 60 and I'm using a Samsung 2333SyncMaster on DVI-D cables. Changing cables did nothing and I was able to capture a SS of it finally.

It gets even worse then this at times...

Rahh, post your dxdiag here so I can take a look at the system. With the dxdiag I will be able to offer you a few suggestions for the problem you are running into. Here are the steps.

1. Click Start
2. Click Run (if you are on Vista, click into the 'Search Textfield')
3. Type DXDIAG then press ENTER
4. When the DirectX Diagnostic loads, click the "Save All Information" Button.
5. Save the text file to your desktop
6. Locate the text file on your desktop and double-click the file to open it
7. Click on Edit
8. Click on Select All
9. Click on Edit
10. Click on Copy (make sure all of the text is highlighted when you click Copy)
11. Right-click into the textfield of your forum post and click on Paste

Rahh, Have you tried adjusting your display settings in the ATI catalyst control center? If not, right click your desktop, and choose "ATI catalyst control center". Look in here for options such as Anisotropic Filtering, and Antialiasing. Make sure these are set to application controlled, and I would even try temporarily disabling them if you still have trouble. Also if you haven't done so, it may be useful to roll back to the previous display driver version from ATI.com.
