wudup all,

alright, I kno this is going to sound Really nooby and stupid, But i really am getting swamped by this problem.

When i join a multiplayer server, Everything loads up perfectly, andd the map finishes loading with no problems. The, The screen changes to the menu whhere you pick your weapons and team. however, the instant it changes to that menu, Farcry just crashes and immedietely closes, and brings me back to the desktop.

I never had this problem before. And even so, I still can play SINgle player fine. Any multiplayer server is the problem.

Of course, I am running the 1.3 patch, have the mappack installed, plus the mappack update.

Forum searches have resulted in no avail..so PLEASE, someone help me out! I havent touched Farcry multiplayer in months, litterally, And i recently have gotten a strong urge to come back (the ubimapack pplayed a strong role..thanks!). Its a real pitty I couldnt get it working after all this time...thanks in advance!

The only reason I've seen FC do this was when the maps weren't installed in the correct folders. Double check that first.

lol ya, they're all in the correct folders. All addon maps are in the Farcry/levels directory. SP maps and MP maps are both in there, and the SP maps work fine, just not playing multiplayer. It has to be something strictly related to multiplayer or something. More insight would be appreicated!

Im really starting to crave For farcry pretty bad now, especially wen you know you HAVE it, but cant play it ARgh!@

honestly dont know on my part,I do have same problem,though rarley, never happened till after patch 1.3 for me,but even then didnt do right away.

btw, this isnt just random, This is EVERY single time. No matter the server, time, map, name, bla bla..I always get the same piss-me-off results. Again, input is appreciated..nomatter if your not sure if its right..It wont hurt to give it a try!

-Slayersofadmin, So you actually had this problem before? Are you still having it now? How exactly did you fix or counter it?

I feel your pain K. Last time I had the problem you are describing was related to a bad stick of ram. I used MemTest to diagnose it. Also make sure your power supply is up to snuff. I had my HDD and vid card on the same PS lead and had problems similar to yours. Try to use 2 separate ones. Also make sure to hold your tongue on the left side of your mouth when you enter the game.

This may be too obvious, but have you tried unistalling and reinstalling FC? Not trying to be insulting, but I've found that a lot of my problems go away when i do that.

I've seen this happen a few times, too. It seemed to me that it only started happening after some of the servers installed the GL SSM, but that's purely circumstantial, and if you're seeing it on all servers (including Ubi ones), then it probably has nothing to do with it.

It doesn't happen to me all the time, just very infrequently. Of course, the frustrating part is waiting for the CD key to timeout.

Wow...well i never thought my problem was so rare, and limited soley to me in particular! Thanks for all the input, but nothing is working as of now.

Storm, I was about to reinstall and in fact Was GOIng to resinstall, I just wanted to post a first thread about this as a last resort to see if ANYONE had an idea. O well...im off to reinstall..argh!
