Ok many people talk about their fried DVDs. I have the issue of a DVD not being able to read anything either (though somehow I managed to install it). I just wonder:

Was your DVD fried before the program was installed? Have you tried rebooting and testing with another CD/DVD? Does it list in BIOS?

I came to think about the StarForce protection used in Doom 3 which made my computer crash and I had to reinstall the OS. It may be SafeDisc 4 that is causing the problems because my DVD isn't working right now but it shows up in BIOS and explorer.

I'm just sickin tired of this bullcrap, the company buys a product which purpose is to prevent illegal copying. We all know the crackers will always out-smart them and crack it within days. Now they download the game and run it smoothly from a virtual disc while we get our discs fried. What the * is this? We bought the product and we're the ones getting a bunch of lardcrap.
