So after reading the known issues in the 1.3 readme.txt, am I to understand that the sound issues with Nforce2 onboard sound cards (specifically the Asus A7N8X Deluxe) is unfixable or just wont be fixed?

It's really a drag and seems like there must be some solution?

Has anyone found anything that helps or works?

I'm speaking of the sound just completely cutting out in FarCry only and basically requiring a full restart before it will come back.

Go to nforcershq.com Asus forum and do a search. I recommend using the "google" search of nforcershq.com at the bottom of the window.

Thanks for the tip.

My sound works fine in everything else though.
I have absolutely no problems with the sound card but since the get go the game has had audio issues with the nforce 2 onboard sound cards.

I recently reinstalled and grabbed the newest patches, apon reading the text, it mentioned that the problem still existed.

It's a bummer but something I'm willing to deal with, I'm just wondering if anyone had found some kind of bubble gum and toothpick, MacGuyver style workaround at all.

I seem to remember having figured out a solution last time but I cant remember it to save my life.
