Can one answer "luckely not"? Was our empathy for all those suffering not already immense?
Wasn't my niece caring for some children on Long Island? Didn't she see the smoke? Weren't we a bit nervous until we heard she was okay? Yes, wasn't the caring we all felt so obvious?
