Thread: Street Fighter's Difficulty | Forums

Is it just me, or does it seem like the difficulty is pumped up from the original. I win 6 rounds in a row (3 matches) then i get to Zangief and he owns me. He did the spinning pile driver to me 3 times in a row and it was game over. After beating him (took me 6 tries) I get owned by Honda. His 100 hand slap is no joke. Blocking isnt even a question because you still lose a drastic amount of energy. I called it quits, too tired for frustration tonite. I will attempt again tomorrow. Nite

At risk of sounding like a n00b, when it says 'charge' in the special moves (ie Guile's sonic boom), what are you supposed to do? For the life of me, I can't seem to get that move to work. The instructions say " <- charge -> + p "

Hold back for 1.5 seconds, then press forward + (whatever attack)

    or

Hold down for 1.5 seconds, then press up + (whatever attack).

It depends on what you're trying to do, really. But, there is a universal charge:

Hold down-back for 1.5 seconds, then press up (or forward) + attack.

The level of difficutly is arcade level. Meaning it's F*ing tough. This isn't the SNES version anymore, this is the real deal.

And as for charging attacks, how is it possible for people online to be able to do charge attacks like the computer (ie. no charging at all)? It's very irritating.

they seem to have left the AI in "I'm going to make you spend all your allowance today" mode when they brought this game onto marketplace.

It might be lag dread, or it might be buffering. Certain atacks take enough frames that you can meet the charging req while they're going on. Do a jumping forward kick for instance and hold down, back, the button ect (what ever the thing is to be charged) while the forward jump animation is taking place. You'll have to wait a dramatically shorter time standing still and it becomes less obvious what you're up to.
