Thread: Having problems with Il2 Server Commander | Forums

  1. #1
My problem is that is that my dedicated server will run fine by itself, with no connection problems or otherwise.

But when I try to run it with Il2 Server Commander, I cannot connect.

In the command prompt window, I get all of the proper lines, like with IL2SC off, but then it says:

IL2 Server commander is starting! , then it basically shuts down chat, and kills all connections showing:

    Kick#1
    Kick#1
    Kick#1
    Kick#1
    Kick#1
    Kick#1
    (about 32 times)

then the lines come up about "test1.mis is running" like every thing is o.k., but I still can't connect.

The error log in IL2SC say it's "Unable to establish a connection"

I've gone through the installation wiki, and everything I can find at M4T, and nothing has changed no matter what I changed, reinstalled or modified. I returned it to exactly how it was at the beginning and of course it's still the same. It works just fine the DS by itself, but it will not run through IL2SC.

It's late, and my DS is on my other computer, if there's anybody who can help, I can provide the exact error messages if needed.

    Hi

Exact error message would be of help, but make sure the console port address is something like 20001.

If you have players on the server and then start/restart Server Commander it will kick all players when it starts. this is normal as far as I know, but after that you should be able to join. Its probably like KG26_Alpha suggested a problem with how the ports in Server Commander or the server are configured.

I had a lot of connection problems when I used Server Commander, but its been over a year since I've used it. When I had problems it the place I got the advice to fix them was the guys from the UK Ded servers at battle-fields.com.
