Thats right.. When the Firewall is disabled some of the people can play, but turn it on again when youre done playing just to be carefull.
So you know it's confirmed that it works for some people now.

Same problem here now. I've got the game for two weeks now and it didn't even work well in the first place: stuttering video and ultra slow. What kind of Mac do you all have? Mine is from Oct 2009 and has everything in it the game needs (according to the box).

Does anyone have a solution for this problem other than "turn the firewall off"? Mine is off and I still get this error. At this point, I've sat through a 1-hour install (all those patches downloading) and paid good $$ for a game that won't even launch; and with a long weekend fast approaching it makes me sad I won't get to try out a new game.

After trying many different sources to try and find a resolution to this, I finally got an answer that worked from Gametree support (the company I purchased the game from). On a mac, I simply deleted the [username]\Library\Preferences\Settlers7 Preferences folder and launched the game. Worked like a charm. Thumbs up Gametree support staff.

Ok! bought this game today! And it gives me this error: Unhandled exception 0xc06d007e at address 0x70033090.
Do you wish to debug it ?

Why should i buy a game from ubisoft if the game does not work and there is no solution to it?

Hey there I also bought this game 3 days ago. And I had to google the problem too, because I got exception raised problems... Its so annoying. This thread could not give any explanations about the problem... and my firewall have never been working. As I was trying to get a solution I found that after turning of the wi-fi on my macbook the game can't restart and says internet connection needed. As you turn it on again its working again. I'm not an IT so don't know why... Please reply if it helped or not. L.Bain
