Just in case anyone is interested and actually has access to this publication - there is an article in there this week about LO:MAC and training FACs (Forward Air Controllers). It's a VERY interesting read with a few things I didn't know they had planned for LOMAC.
I don't think there's a free copy available on the internet but if you can find a link, please post it. Eagle Dynamics just went up another notch. LOL

Yep. It can only mean good stuff for us civilian users with large contractors pouring money into the sim.
It's getting harder and harder to tell the government systems from the civilian simulators.

I've seen nothing to suggest this so far - it looks like ED are just saying "look, military-type chaps, this is what we've got and this is what it can do. want to buy it?"
No confirmed contracts yet - although there is supposed to be a military trade show to which they are taking the FAC development to see if they can grab anything.
Some of the things suggested there are probably not going to happen anyway. The Hornet as flyable was only ever a suggestion for the future . . . . I've seen nothing to suggest that has changed, and I've recently seen comments that they just don't have enough information to do it.

I thought ED got a contract for an F-16 sim, thats why they are getting so much information?

I agree that there has been no concrete evidence that any military agency has agreed to use this engine, thus far. I was more thinking out loud and dreaming of the possibilities...

From what the article in JDW said, they were taking in the F-16C Block 50, Ka-50 (duh!), AH-64A, and the E-3 AWACS. I'm not exactly sure what the AWACS will add to it, but one could guess it may be a battle control system similar to the one found in EF-2000. As well the article didn't mention the F/A-18. That would be fairly nice though.
Also, from what the article said, it sounded as if a few countries may have bought into it and may be pushing for its development. I'll go re-read the article and get back to you.
