Thread: TM 1.6 vs Sub Instruments by OakGroove | Forums

  1. #1
    Does TM 1.6 incorporate the Submarine Instruments by OakGroove (7/20/07)?

    From TM changelog 1.2

    //added Cpt Cox's periscope gfx mod

    //added Oakgrooves UI guages.

    Is this the same one, or can OakGroove's MOD be added to TM 'safely'?

    I took a quick look at the readme for TM 1.6 and it says that the mod by Oakgroove is his latest, RD.

    I also took a quick look at the 1.6 Readme, but I guess my look was too quick. Missed it completly.

    My compass is still nearly unreadable. I have to take off my glasses and stick my nose on the monitor before I can make out the tiny, blurry numbers. I'm using a now-old fashioned monitor (CRT). Is that the problem?

    What kind of monitor are you using, RD? Is it CRT or LCD?

    I think the compass instruments are blurry fully stop - nothing to do with your monitor.

    I have trouble reading the standard instruments - DO NOT ADJUST YOUR SET!

    Might try this instrument mod.

    CRT (1064 X 768 resolution), and that's probably the problem. My wife would beat me with my own torpedoes if I spent two to three hundred dollars for a new monitor just to play a game. Guess I'll have to ask Santa.
