id first like to reask a questioned that has been addressed here but never answered, you guys were too busy comparing who was a gamer the longest and making fun of viperc60 (shame on all of you who did). but anyways, i have heard that the game will be 23 levels, how long is each level, and how long will the game be total.

then second id like to comment, and have it heard, about the topic entitled "Greatest War Game Ever" posted by njcl. my comment is............you guys are all wrong. all of those games are hyped first person shooters based on wars. COD is a bunch of levels thrown together (or based on a movie) set in ww2 for entertainment. h&d, b1942 and so on were good but not great. but these are not war games, they are first person shooters for pure enjoyment. you forgot one game, a game that i consider to be the GODFATHER OF ALL WAR GAMES, FPS OR NOT, IS THE LEGENDARY GAMES OF CLOSE COMBAT. all 5 of them were, and forever will be untill proven otherwise, is the BEST AND ONLY WAR GAME TO HAVE ALL THE ASPECT OF TRUE WAR in it.

There is approximately 20 or so levels. Combat occurs in almost realtime(slightly accelerated). Sleeping, eating, etc is cut out. I have no idea as to the length of each level. I think most levels will be well over an hour in most cases depending on how fast/cautiously you choose to move, and how much area you choose to explore. I think levels will be a substantial length. If you are interested, I could post some more info about the singleplayer campaign, and some possible spoilers.

    DON'T SPOIL ANYTHING!!!

Whats the point in telling me about the game, it takes so much away.

And to address the greatest war game of all point. Your right, to a point. MOH, H&D, COD, all show the war from a different perspective of games like Close Combat and GI Combat.

Warfare is what it is. Perhaps the FPS games you refer to (and i don't really consider H&D to be a FPS, but i can see it) simply show different perspectives of war, more of a nitty gritty look at it from the soldiers perspective, not the strategic perspective of a commander.

Honestly i think COD is a great game. It is based highly on historical accuracy for many of the missions. But, as you said, its for entertainment.

But in retrospect, entertainment is tohe purpose of a video game right? If games like Close Combat don't appeal to a FPS gamer, then games like COD will be the best.

My point is that everyone has their own greatest game, and mine hasn't been decided yet. Hopefully BIA will be it as it is a mix of realistic (the best I've seen yet) and strategic small unit tactics.

Anywho, im sure everyone is tired of the soap box, so I'm hopping off
