well it would appear ATI are first of the mark to ensure the game will be running smoothly on peoples pc's

grab the fix if your planning on buying the game i would say!
doesnt give specifics just states that it improves performance in dx9 and dx10 versions of the game

i have a single DX9 GPU. does that mean this patch applies to me? seems like it doesn't...

    anyone?

also it's noted that it isn't AMD tested so only use it IF you are having problems or issues....

i know, but it also says:

    * Improves performance for the DirectX 9 version of Far Cry 2 on CrossFire™ compatible systems
    * Improves performance for the DirectX 10 version of Far Cry 2 on both single and CrossFire™ compatible systems

I have the impression that it only applies to DX9 (WinXP) users who have 2 cards running in X-Fire mode.

As a single 2900XT user, Im not bothering with it.

which is pretty much exactly the same statement Nvidia make with their BETA drivers...so why not just shut up and stop trying to start an argument...
