Hi, I recently tried applying the research map to the demo folder but I messed up the game and it wouldn't run. Then I tried uninstalling via Add/Remove Programs but I received an error:

Internal Failure

Error Number 0x80040707
Description: [blank]

When I click OK it then says access denied. I then deleted the program folder for the demo and re-downloaded the entire package. I then tried to install and I received the same error. PLEASE help me, thanks.

I had a similar problem, couldn't uninstall it, just got error messages.

Manualy deleted all files and registry entries I could find, but it just wouldn't let me reinstall it after that.

I posted my problems here but no-one replied and I found no way of solving the prob.

Have now reformatted and won't touch the demo's again as I don't want to bugger-up the full version.

If you do find a solution please post it, as I have Far Cry withdrawal symtoms.

What OS are you on, I have win98se and wondered if it was a problem with this OS.

I manually deleted the ubi folder, then used the games uninstaller on the start menu. That worked for me anyway.
