I've noticed there are a lot of new folks on the board in the last few weeks, most of whom either got in late to Uru Live or missed it altogether. Too, there are some of us (speaking) who failed to take any screenshots at all during Live.

So,I had a thought that it might be nice to share screenies of the different areas of Ae'gura, the Nexus, the Great Zero and the Neighborhood, each with some description of the area. I confess I have a few pics from my weak attempt at the hack, but they're not representative of the Live environment. Would anyone care to get the thread started with a little Virtual Tour?

    The Strip Mall

Here's a location as seen from one of the balconies in Prime. It appears to be a shopping hub, hence the moniker "Strip Mall". Can someone please identify the areas by number?

This photo will be updated when possible.

I don't know the answer to your question about the Strip Mall, Elkae, but would be interested in seeing the answer if anyone DOES know!

Meanwhile, I have a few shots to add to the tour. . . .

    inside the pub

    The Great stairway

    Looking down the great stairs

Is this the outside of the Great Zero, anyone know?

    The Great Zero

Well I guess that is all for now, I have more, but won't hog the "tour" space ~ haha

    Weeell...

Points 2,3,4,5,7 and 8 where unreachable or unknown in the end of live, but maybe some Uru know-it-all can identify the places.

1 is a broken bridge, crossing the chasm and connecting the... um... Foyer with the road to the Library? It's been a while... But the DRC did put a ropebridge so mad explorers wouldn't hurl themself of it to get a flashing marker somewhere in midair.

And 6 is a double door leading to the Kadish Gallery. At least, it looks like that. It was still closed at the end of Live.

I hope that everything I said is correct.

Wonderful shots, DDB, and thank you so much for posting them. I've wondered what that round building was myself (the one you questioned as being the outside of the GZ).

As for the Strip Mall, #3, I had a suspicion at one time that it could be the outside of the Kadish Gallery. Since then I have some second thoughts about that.

    Oh yeah, hog away!

PGC_jopp, thanks for posting. Question: Does the #1 opening lead to the cryptic place called the "CaveTJunction"? Or does it lead directly to the Library? I have trouble getting my bearings around there. I know you can see the Ferry Terminal area from the bridge.

Hmmm. You think #6 is the Gallery, eh? I wondered if it might be.

    The Baron City Office
Known in Prime as "Sharper's City Office"

This screenie is from my "hack", showing the Christmas tree lit by fire marbles. The linking book leads back to Sharper's Teledahn Office. Judging from the view from the BCO windows, the office is high up in the City. The windows themselves are of an unusual shape, but I never spotted any likely exterior during Live.

How many of you MYSTers tried clicking on the paintings in the BCO?

Yes, there is a stairway to the left of #4, going up and turning left. It leads to the Foyer (linking pedestal for Nexus link) and from there you cross the bridge. And it goes to a T-junction. To the left you'll go back to the Hall of Kings, and to the right you go to the Library. (another link pedestal there)

It's not that hard to find your way around. When you go there for the first time i suggest to look around, and locate the Nexus Pedestals for a quick access in the City. You start with only one citylink: the Ferry Terminal at the bottom of the Great Stair.

Note: I hope the DRC didn't remove the pedestals, i remember reading something about that on their website...

Okay, I've updated the Strip Mall photo with additional descriptions. I will update it again when/if more information is given.

For those who haven't been to Live, I second PGC_jopp's suggestion to find all of the Nexus Books first. Muy importante!
