    A US destroyer visiting the port of Sevastapol had a close encounter with an undiscovered-until-now German mine from WW2. It was safely recovered before it could harm the destroyer.

    The German-made mine, weighting 300 kg and containing up to 100 kg of TNT, was found drifting in the sea on Wednesday. Experts stopped the mine from floating and later took it about 1.5 kilometers offshore where it was destroyed,
