    Hi,

Using an ATI3850 512mb G-card to play 1946 in OpenGL (note; it needs CAT.A.I turned off for this) is proving impossible to play with landscape details turned to 'Perfect'.

The sky, but not the clouds, and the landscape, though not the runway appear jet black!....yet if i turn the landscape details to 'Excellent' all is fine!

Any ideas why the problem with 'perfect' setting.

    Thanks.

Try running il2setup and under the video tab set it to one of the Radeon settings. If that doesn't help choose "Custom", in the settings that appear below make sure that both "Multitexture" and "Combine" are checked. That should fix it.

I use to have a ATI3850 AGP card and by no way did it work with CAT A.I. off! Set it to Standard (I think that was the one). And this should resolve your issue.
