I just got the game but it keeps crashing to the desktop. Is there a fix?

    System:

    QX9650
    ASUS Maximus Rampage
    OCZ 1066 cas5 4GB ram
    MSI 4850 OC 1GB - Catalyst 9.6
    Samsung spinpoint F1 750GB
    X-Fi Xtreme Music
    Vista Ultimate 32bits

    Thanks

I guess there's a problem with ATI cards, Nvidia was probably the games sponsor.. I made a thread about it aswel, altough I can actually start the game and play, it will give me glitches and reset my graphics card.

try to set your audio playback devices to a lower output like 24 bit 48000 hz studio quality or even lower if not work.

I already tried that, without luck.

Strangely the game runs fine under Windows XP Professional. My explanation is that there's a Creative (Alchemy) bug with this game for Vista users with a Creative soundcard.

Vista has a different (read: bad / more restrictive) way of handeling sound. Creative Alchemy is a Modulator to get the sound acceleration working in vista for Creative DSP sound processors.

I got lucky that I had Windows XP and Vista on my PC.
But this is totaly unacceptable for users that don't.
This game should run on all systems meeting the game requirements.
Ubisoft/Techland should do better beta-testing next time.

    Thanks for all the imputs

I'm happy now to get the game running under XP.
I also don't want to ruin my sound settings for my Creative Gigaworks 750.
