In the process of making a movie. Would be nice to get some feedback about the Custom speech featured in the movie, it "should" be sounding like an American General.

    Hello THEPRO_,

    Nice try but no cigar

Does not sound authentic, it's like me trying to fake a British accent. If possible, try to recruit a Southern Accented American (USA) to record your speech. Many in this forum would lend you a hand!

Well, it doesn't sound authentic to me, but I would be happy to try and help you out if you need an american sounding voice actor (Although I'm not southern, I can put a southern drawl in it a bit ) Hopefully without overacting LOL!! Let me know if you want me to audition for your movie ok?

Hi, Pro. Your accent (I assume it’s you speaking) is very good, as is the quality of your audio recording. However, you do have a slight foreign accent. On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d rank this accent about a 7. A native speaker of English will pick up on the accent immediately, as the feedback thus far shows.

On the plus side, your English is clear and easy to understand. Filmmakers have to make all sorts of compromises with their films, and your accent is good enough for a movie, in my book. You’ll have to decide how close to perfection you want the dialogue to sound and whether it’s worth the trouble of finding a native speaker to do the voices for you. If you want an American southern accent, our very own Dart is a gen-u-ine son of the south and may be able to help you out. I like IL-2 movies that use dialogue, so I’ll be looking forward to whatever you end up using. Good luck with your project!
