No, but it doesn't matter. The only time a sniper is good is when you have him in a different party alone in a far away zone, however you only get one team and in the past Rainbow Six games, only about two levels had any use for a sniper.

but a sniper is very useful to clear the way around the operationnal field; isn't he?

Yah... Snipers, aka SAWs, really good weapon. You should use it every time when you play online

The SAW is a Squad Automatic Weapon typically the M249 also called a minimi and is about as far from a sniper rifle as you can get [img]/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif[/img]

There were some good sniping maps on Rogue Spear online, and the tanker level (also on Rogue spear) just screamed out for a sniper. Just a pitty Ubi (along with many others it seems) decided that if you own an xbox your incapable of leading more than 3 other (wo)men. Or planning! They kinda kill the use of snipers IMO
