Did you do the subverted buddy mission part of the gold tag mission? If so, then you needed to return to the safe house to meet with your buddy. If not, then you should have received the Mission completed message, and sometimes a phone call from your buddy who expresses disappointment with your lack of follow through on his/her plans!
I think you got something there because on my first play through, I never skipped any animations and I let everything play out exactly as you said and I never experienced a single glitch. I kept wondering what everyone was talking about here on the forum about closed doors and stuck at xx% and such. Then on my second play through, I started skipping stuff... For example, when I got a subverted buddy faction mission, I would back away from my buddy right after it said 'Mission Accepted' and I didn't bother to let them complete giving me all the info nor did I interact with them any further and all of a sudden, I started getting the 'closed door' bugs.Originally posted by pzrzao:

In each interaction with someone (buddy, APR, UFLL officials, etc) I let them competely finish what they are saying before I move on. Also, when returning from a buddy quest to report to the buddy at Mike's, I always wait the few seconds to see the Mission completed message, and then the Reputation increased message before I move on. This also would explain why an earlier save did not work.
As I mentioned, this is purely guesswork, but it might explain some of the "glitches" that some people experience while others do not.
But I think the developers clearly meant to give us the option to cut those scenes short. When you go in to get a mission from one of the factions, you can interact with the folder on the table to get them to skip all the mission details and give you the mission right away. And there is a special voice-over/animation that goes along with that, i.e., the guy will say, "Looks like you're in a hurry" or something like that.

press 5 to open your map,
then go to the town in pala or in the other town in act 2
then look for ! sign for a mission apr logo is like a star and the ufll is the other....
then go inside to hear the briefing
after that press esc READ YOUR OBJECTIVE
and look for it on your map by pressing 5 again...
or if its still existing.... its a BUG!!
