You are going to try playing new games on a G3 ?
You will have to lower your ingame detail settings quite a bit

"Those who long for exaltation look upwards. But I look downwards for I am the exalted." This was a quote from Nietzsche as he flew in his FW190 @ 20,000ft looking downwards.

I upgraded my system with a P4 2.4c and some ddr 4000 memory adding lotsa fans for cooling my 3.3 ghz overclocked system just so I could get conditioned to the constant whine of jet engines because it's so close to release!

Firstly, it makes sense to have your rig running properly by the time Lomac comes out . . . . and it's a pretty safe bet anything about 2.5Ghz, with more than 512Mb RAM and a decent video card will run it very well.
Secondly . . . . hello? You been paying attention?
It's called the DEMO! And it's SO NEARLY HERE! EXCITEMENT EXCITEMENT EXCITEMENT!

I am sucha noob in OC-ing....but I would say that 2.6X with HT will probably be good enough if you have 512+ ram and a fine vcard.

Why buy a new computer wait until LOMAC comes out, see how your computer runs then go from there. All these dumb people going out and buying new computers B4 they see how there will handle LOMAC. Did you see that they delayed LOMAC again now WINTER 2020. If I were you I would wait you never now they might delay it again. And then you spent all that money just to upgrade again maybe. WHY? unless there is other games you are going to play and your not just doing this for LOMAC.

this is what i have:
Compaq Presario PC
AMD XP 1800+
512mb PC 2100 DDR ram
Geforce 3 TI200 factory overclocked to a TI450 w/128mb DDR ram
Maxtor 7200 rpm 160gb HD w/8mb cache @ ATA 133
Nokia 21" monitor @ .22mm dot pitch
and this is what i'm getting/got:
Gamers mid-ATX tower
Asus A7V600 motherboard
AMD 2600 Barton (gonna overclock it to a 3200)
1gb of PC 3200 DDR ram
Hitachi 811 21" monitor @ .22mm dot pitch
some of the stuff i already have.......building my new computer as the parts come.....this vid card is great for now, but if i decide to buy a new one, it will be a 256mb DDR video card because this one can be overclocked more if i need to
i'm not just upgrading for lomac, but to play all the newer games, your gonna need some fast computers to experience the games like they were meant to be
