Thread: My Favorite Japanese Battleship Class is missing in SH IV :( | Forums

I definitely was expecting the IJN Nagato class, but it was left out. The Nagato also served as the flagship of Japan at one time. Yamato is included and there are 2 Yamatos only. if anyone feels that since Nagato had only 2 ships, it should be irrelevant to the game? Nagato had Mutsu, so they should have included it.

I don't think they can be blamed for not having every single ship class. It is far more important to have a range of important classes of ships.

They left quite a few ship classes out of the game. But I would think that they can be added eventually by the modders. Just to mention a few, Akagi, Kaga, Shokaku class and the Soryu. All very important Japanese CVs in the early parts of WW II.

Which by the way both participated in the battle of Coral sea.

Realistically, the most disappointing omission ship wise, to me at least, are the Shinano and the Akagi. The Pacific really just isn't the same without them (though I will miss the Nagato as well).

But then again I'd have liked to have seen every type of Japanese heavy cruiser, battleship, and carrier; heh, only in a perfect world right.

Oh, if it's not too much to ask, could someone possibly be so kind and post the whole ship/aircraft rooster. It'll be a few more days until I can get the game, and being in the dark is killin' me.

Sorry about that, I was going by the ship id poster that came with the game, saw the Hiryu and the Chitose, but musta missed those. Thanks for setting me straight. I look forward to seeing either the Shokaku or the Zuikaku in my periscope sights real soon (or maybe both )

The Yamato class is in the game, we've already got one member of these forums who sank two.

    In the same patrol.
