What does that mean? Is it not real, or has no one found out what it has meant and given up?
I think we pretty much just gave up, coldfire. Nothing new has been posted to that thread in a very long time. I think there was a pretty exhaustive effort to figure out if there was any hidden meaning to the recipe, but no success, so it is either of no value beyond face, or it's truly got us stymied. I think it's likely the former.

Has anyone tried to contact the makers or programers, or anyone that would know the answer, and ask anything? I wouldn't have the time, nor am i quite that motavated to do it. But if someone has or will, it would be great.
I PMed both GreyDragon and CyanBill a LONG while back... but never received a response.
Now, I have been corresponding with Ryan Miller a little bit recently regarding the status of the Until Uru keys... How involved would he have been in Uru egg development?
I'd hate to bug them TOO much... It's seems they're insanely busy right now... doing a few things, one of them very possibly Uru related...
However, after the Cyan lay offs and then the rehiring of (almost) everyone, Bill Slease moved on to other opportunities. Maybe we can contact him through his blog at gigagiggles.com ...

I thought of another explanation. While watching the "Making the Game" on the third Myst V DVD, Cyan apparently celebrates occasional "Deviled Egg Wednesdays". Maybe that is why the D'nied Egg recipe was included in Uru Path of the Shell. It makes as much sense as anything.

That much is true... Deviled Egg Wednesdays were a weekly event at Cyan.
Many of us hoped, however, that there was a more elaborate egg on par with the "Zandoni" egg in ABM/To D'ni. The recipe seems rather anticlimactic compared to that.

i would like to know if it is just a dead end, and there is no big secret (sp). i would rather not waist anyone elses time with this seemingly endless search for an answer. i do agree that there is a big chance that the D'nied egg recipy is just a joke on there develed egg wednesday tradition. after all this time of wondering what it could be, i think now it might be just a waist of time, and for some peoole, a huge waist of energy and focus.
