Thread: For all Radeon 48xx owners with 8.10 and 8.11 texture problems | Forums

  1. #1
Following Urufu_Shinjiro's advice, I talked to ATI support about the problems I'm having with 8.10, 8.11, and received this response:

"<snip> I would suggest you get other players to submit tickets selecting Catalyst Crew Feedback as the category on the issue as well. The Catalyst Crew Team does read every submission the more they see on an issue the better."

Please also submit a report using the "Troubleshooting a technical issue" link:
    http://support.ati.com/ics/support/d...asp?deptID=894

Select the relevant options, register (no fuss), and submit a ticket under the "Catalyst crew feedback" category.

If enough people report the issue, it might be solved!

There's no option for IL2 1946 4.08 in their list (only IL2), so please mention it in your comments.

Good, I see post after post here with an obvious driver issue on the ATI side and I know in the past we've had trouble getting anything done but lets all try to submit these issues and see what happens.

If once [the people] become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress, and Assemblies, judges and governors shall all become wolves. " - Thomas Jefferson

I would like to post my problem with my 4870x2, but that link is bad. AMD has changed the url for this I think. All I see is Search the Knowledgebase links now.

Does anyone know where you 'submit a ticket' on the new site?

    Thanks,

I don't know about their site, but 9.2 drivers are working OK for me so far. Frozen rivers are bad, but at least it's not a glitch.

I haven't been able to play in OpenGL mode since the 8.12 drivers. I keep writing to ATI asking them to fix the issue, but no reply is ever forthcoming.

I just installed the 9.3 CATs, and they are working fine for me in OGL.

I'm using a 3870 X2 and a Sony FW900 monitor as Primary, and an old Sony GDM 3000 as secondary.

    OS is Vista 64

Thanks. But a few days ago I found out that all of my problems were due to an extra 'free' tool that came with my video card. The tool 'for' the video card,.. caused freezing, crashes, and memory leaks in IL2.

The tool is called GamerOSD, and was a nice movie/screenshot capture tool, but it is gone from my compuer now and I can play in Perfect mode with high fps.

So, it turned out not to be a ATI Driver issue at all.
